Principal's Message

Burma Hills XC - Well Done, Everyone! The race went very well, thanks to the hard work of so many volunteers! Thank you to everyone who helped set up, clean up, park cars and buses, run the concession, course marshall, and on and on and on! We had 540 runners, and the day went so smoothly! A big 'thanks' to our jr. high kids for helping keep runners on course and to Shiana Younger for coordinating our volunteers! Also, our runners from Brownfield did amazing! Congratulations on a great race, everyone!

Volleyball - Castor Tournaments Last Weekend Congratulations to our boys and girls volleyball teams for a great showing at their tournaments last weekend in Castor! It was so cool to see the teams get stronger, with more and better rallies, as each game went on! Keep up the good work, and good luck tomorrow as we host Coronation after school.

Air-Chairing I tried to learn something new during the summer: riding an airchair behind a motorboat. I won't get into details, but, long story short, I found it difficult, trying, and frustrating. As I sat bobbing in the water, clearing the lake water from my nostrils, I thought about how hard it is (and frustrating at times) to learn something new. We challenge our students to take on new things all of the time. We ask them to do more, expand their thinking, and take on new, more difficult problems. I managed to ride eventually, for a few moments at least, but I needed lots of opportunities to try and loads of help and encouragement. If you notice your kiddo is having a hard time, please reach out. Let's work together to provide the opportunities, help and encouragement each person needs to succeed.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact your child (ren)’s teacher or me. You can reach me on my cell phone (587-282-0944) or by email (jfaber@clearview.ab.ca). Jason Faber
