Winter Fun! 
On Monday, the grade 4-9 students had a fabulous afternoon of cross-country skiing and snowshoeing! Thank you to the parent drivers and Mr. Gelderman for organizing this field trip. It was a beautiful day with gorgeous scenery and exceptional skiing conditions. I was so impressed at the skill of all the students on the XC skis! Well done! 

Semester Two Begins 
On Monday, February 3rd, we begin semester two! I am pleased with the progress our students are making. It is particularly remarkable to observe the growth of our youngest students in reading, writing and math. I love popping into the K and 1-2-3 classrooms to see what they’re working on! I am also excited about some new opportunities in the coming semester. Our Junior High students will participate in CTS Shop at Coronation School, and our 4-6 students will begin some Home Economics learning. Our 4-9 students will also continue participating in outdoor education programming.

Alberta Education Survey
In the coming weeks, parents of students in grades 4-9 will receive a "random access code" from Alberta Education in the mail. Follow the directions given to complete this online survey. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you need help accessing the survey. I appreciate your feedback. These surveys can be a helpful tool in planning for next year and beyond. I use the results in my planning, and the school division and province also use the data.
